LEDYARD MAN ADMITS DISTRIBUTING CRACK COCAINE

Nora R. Dannehy, Acting United States Attorney for the District of Connecticut, announced that DON RICARDO SEBASTIAN, JR., also known as "Rick Rick," 23, of Meetinghouse Lane, Ledyard, pleaded guilty today before United States District Judge Janet C. Hall in Bridgeport to one count of possession with intent to distribute, and to distribute, cocaine base ("crack cocaine").

According to documents filed with the Court and statements made in court, on August 17, 2007, SEBASTIAN sold approximately three grams of crack cocaine to an individual working with law enforcement.

Judge Hall has scheduled sentencing for June 27, 2008, at which time SEBASTIAN, faces a maximum term of imprisonment of 20 years and a fine of up to $1,000,000.

This case is being investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Connecticut State Police and the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Police Department. The case is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Raymond F. Miller.
